What is Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a technique used to refresh and repair your facial skin. It can help treat acne scars, unwanted fine lines and wrinkles, clean pores, and can even smooth out uneven skin tones.

Like other skin resurfacing techniques, the goal is to remove damaged outer layers of skin. Microdermabrasion using a minute jet of abrasive crystals to remove the skin. Suction then removes the crystals and skin particles.

Because these and non-invasive, they are slow and usually one visit is not enough. A complete series may involve 10 or more treatments depending on the condition of the treatment area. Most often younger patients are advised to book a few treatments in a row, and older patients usually space their appointments two weeks to a month apart, allowing time for healing between sessions that will help to gauge the level of results the treatment is giving. However, over time this process will soften your skin and make it appear younger.
