The Dynamis

When greater improvement is desired such as acne scars or other scars or deeper wrinkling, we can move over to the Erbium wavelength of the SP Dynamis which can ablate skin to force more substantial changes in the skin. Erbium laser is absorbed by water and the result is vaporization of tissue.

This particular laser confines the thermal effects very precisely – a great plus in precision treatment. Collagen stimulation follows and smoothes the surface while “plumping” the skin beneath.

After arriving at the clinic and filling out the paperwork, we take you to the treatment room where the provider will walk you through the procedure and the instruments being used. Your provider will perform the procedure in the office with a topical anesthetic cream that is applied 1-2 hours before the procedure begins.

Your technician will use the handheld device to smooth any wrinkles and tighten the jawline from the inside out with a four-step process. The first step can smooth nasolabial folds and wrinkles in the middle and lower half of the face. During the second step, we target deeper lines wrinkles, and areas with hyperpigmentation to help create a more uniform complexion. For the third step, we focus on tightening and lifting the skin. In the final step, we perform a resurfacing treatment, also known as a laser peel, to address visible skin imperfections on the skin’s top layer.

The treatment is pain-free and depending on the surface area being worked on, it can take as little as 30 mins. Once the procedure is complete, your doctor will give you information on post-treatment care to ensure your skin will heal properly.

Skin can be very sensitive to different types of procedures and we will ensure you leave the clinic armed with the right information for post-treatment care. Some patients experience redness, swelling, irritation, or slight bruising. Some use pain ointments, which we can advise you on after the procedure. Any redness or swelling you do see should be completely gone within a week. You will also start to see the great results of the Dynamis after one to two weeks, and your skin begins to properly heal and respond to the treatment.
